Guild History

The Krewe of Arcane Terrors was established in January of 2006 when a hand-full of rag-tag allies joined one another to battle for dominance in the Clan Wars. The Krewe quickly rose through the ranks. They even engaged other guilds directly in their own base, as well as having to defend their own newly obtained Guild Hall in the Isles of the Dead. Headed by a female Necromancer, the guild soon exhausted the continent of Tyria. They ravished their enemies and defended their homeland of Ascalon, not even the strange powers of the Lich could stand against their might.

It was then that they heard of another continent: Cantha, a place of mystery, adventure, and long forgotten history. After journeying there, however, they found that they were in for more than just an adventure. Soon after their arrival, a deadly plague began to sweep across the continent, killing its inhabitants. The Krewe took it upon themselves and began following each clue and unraveling the mysteries of the ancient battles of light and darkness. It was then that they were faced with a choice of sides. The sea-faring Luxons, who patrolled the Jade Sea had long been at war with the dark or the zealous Kurzicks of the Echavold Forests.

They could only choose one side and after careful consideration and a lot of thought, the Luxons eventually won them over. There upon ensued a new type of battle, one where territory was lost and gained. As their reputation with the Luxons began to grow, so did the Guild's excitement with this new type of combat. Eventually, they resumed their chase and finally struck down the source of the Plague. It was only in due time that they returned to the battle front of their newly formed Alliance with the Luxons and continued to war on their bitter enemies: the Kurzicks. By this time, their numbers had grown into the fifties, and the Krewe's popularity with the Luxons rose with each passing day.

This continued until yet another new world was revealed to them: Elona. The inhabitants there were immersed in civil war, and the Krewe found themselves recruited by Kormir, the military leader of Istan, to become Sunspears. After being recruited into the Sunspear Army, they soon rose through its ranks and still wage war there today. They vehemently pursue the criminal overlord Varesh before her plans for the world are sealed in Nightfall.

Although their crusades take them all over the world, the Krewe have never forgotten their old allies, the Luxons. They, also, have not forgotten about the other guilds that continually vie for power in this endless struggle that consumes the world in war. They stand vigilant against the coming storms of the future and remain strong-willed against any odds that block their path. All of this knowing that as long as a single one of them stands, they are not legions, nor an army, but a team; A vast team that has spanned the world, conquered it's threats, and destroyed it's competition.

A warrior stood in the halls of the Krewe. She wondered whether or not she would fit in with this strange bunch of misfits. The Krewe always seemed to pull themselves together and defeat even the greatest of foes. This was a mystery to her. She soon noticed that this strange diversity was what held them together and what made them strong. She realized that this Krewe of Arcane Terrors were not a normal bunch, but that is what made them unique, and like-minded in a strange sense. This was where she belonged, and where anyone with a strong determination and something to fight for could belong.
